Here’s the first instalment of the new online version of Julian’s Journal.  Read up on the very wet but wonderful Christmas Fair, a thank you and farewell from our retiring pastoral associate Veronica and outgoing Principal James Daly.  There’s also plenty of other community and faith stories, articles from the school kids, puzzles and jokes.

Parish Newsletter 27th November 2011

This weekend marks the start of Advent.
Our theme this Advent is
How Do We Discover the Presence of God in Every Day?

2011 ADVENT PARISH PROJECT
“Brigidine Asylum Seeker Program”
The plight of those people seeking asylum in our country has been very much in our consciousness these past months. The political parties have continued to treat those who have had to flee from their country of origin for their own political ends, rather than address the needs of those individuals and families seeking refuge and safety.
Sister Brigid Arthur is launching our Advent Appeal as she speaks this weekend.
Donations can be made via the envelopes in the pews.
What Can I Do?
Why not join us next Sunday 4th December after the 9.00 & 10.30 Masses to Write a Message of Hope to detainees telling them you welcome them to this country and that we are working to change our Government’s policies.
Bring along a Christmas card to send.

SPJE CHRISTMAS EVE MASS PLANNING
Would you like to come along and help plan for the Christmas Eve Family Mass at SPJE?

Place: Please come to the Parish House.

Parish Fair
Thanks to all those who braved the wet weather (that’s probably an understatement) to support our Parish Fair.

We hope to be operating out of the facility in time for our Christmas Hampers.
