Christmas Ministries
Please place your names against ministries for our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses. A list is on the notice board in the Church foyer. We need Commentators, Readers, Message Stick Bearers, families for the Offertory Procession and Ministers of the Eucharist. For the Christmas Eve Family Mass we would like to have children to do the readings. Encourage your child to be part of this parish Christmas celebration.

Mary MacKillop East Timor Mission
Letter to Parish Social Justice Group
Dear friends
Thank you for organising the collection of the goods for East Timor which were delivered to us here at St Mary’s today. Your support is greatly appreciated.
The stamps will be sorted and taken to the Stamp Auction – the proceeds will be used for our work in East Timor. The other items will be on their way to East Timor in early December.
Please convey our deep gratitude to the Parishioners for their wonderful generosity in their response to your appeal
May God’s blessing be with you.
Yours Sincerely
Sister Josephine Mitchell
Mission Director

St. Vincent de Paul Society
SVDP will be selling Columban Calendars ($9-00 each) and Christmas Cards ($7-00 for a pack of 10) after each Mass up until Christmas or until sold out. The Calendars sell quickly so you may need to get in early.
Also, from the weekend of the 17th/18th November the “SVDP Giving Tree” will be placed in the Church foyer. There will be tags for gifts nominating boys or girls
and their ages. If you would like to donate a gift for our Christmas Hampers is would be most appreciated. Just take the tag off the tree and return it asap with the
tag. There is no need to wrap the present because we have to check to make sure brothers and sisters get treated equally. There will also be tags for money. This money donation is used to purchase the food for the hampers we deliver in the week leading up to Christmas Day. Please make sure you get the gifts back in time for us to include them in the hampers (9/12). If you have any questions or suggestions do not hesitate to contact Bill McConville or Tony Warren 9726 8363.
The members of SVDP would like to thank you for your continued generosity which enables us to ensure that the needy in Montrose, Kilsyth and Mooroolbark are given the opportunity to have a happy and a holy Christmas.

As you will be aware, each year the Parish Social Justice Action Group proposes a particular project within the developing world as a project for Advent, both to raise our own awareness and knowledge of our sisters and brothers in various parts of our region and to raise funds as co-operators with those members of the Australian Church working closely with them as their mission.
This Advent we would like to introduce the Parish to The Carmelite Mission, Zumalai in Timor-Leste and to help us we will be welcoming their Melbourne coordinator, Sister Rosemary Patterson RSM, to speak to us at all Masses next Sunday and launch the Appeal.
Thank you for your generosity through the marked envelopes over these next weeks.
