Baptism
Baptisms are celebrated during mass on set dates once a month.
Times:
- 6.00pm Saturday at St Peter Julian’s Church (Mooroolbark)
- 9.00am Sunday at St Richard’s Church (Kilsyth)
- 10.30am Sunday at St Peter Julian’s Church (Mooroolbark)
Please phone the parish office to confirm dates and make a booking.
Requirements:
- At least 2 months notice is required.
- Either one or both parents must be Catholic and live in the parish boundary.
- Once a suitable date is booked, parents will be required to attend a Baptism Preparation Meeting – this needs to take place 2 months prior to the Baptism date.
- A $40 Administration Booking Fee applies and is payable prior to attending the baptism preparation meeting.
- Families are asked to call into the parish office and pay by cash or cheque.
Welcome Mass
- Families are required to attend a welcome mass – 2 weeks prior to the child’s baptism.
Godparents
- Parish policy when choosing Godparents requires that at least 1 Godparent must be a Confirmed Catholic.
